Sometimes, that's the very best you can offer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-167783085766202519.post-63564922499694128192012-06-28T12:18:01.997-05:002012-06-28T12:18:01.997-05:00Sounds to me like you've taken extremely good ...Sounds to me like you've taken extremely good care of your cat. I've had cats my whole life and last year lost the best one I'll ever have. I still miss him. I hope you can feel less guilty over time. It really does sound like you gave Ella everything she needed and then some.Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13069417648988456196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-167783085766202519.post-70505840464261615952012-06-28T07:41:56.373-05:002012-06-28T07:41:56.373-05:00My heart goes out to you, Claudia. My heart goes out to you, Claudia.Steph Knoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-167783085766202519.post-63011284973243331902012-06-28T07:13:08.672-05:002012-06-28T07:13:08.672-05:00I don't envy you this situation. In fact, the vet recommended to me - a 16 year old - that she be put down. Of course, at that age, I couldn't do it. Katrina lived for another six years or so....she got skinny as well but remained a feisty feline until the end. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-167783085766202519.post-14661270171213653232012-06-27T20:18:08.287-05:002012-06-27T20:18:08.287-05:00Awww I know exactly how you feel. She was also a rescue, and same as you I have always taken care of her in the literal sense. She has food, and toys, and clean water, she goes to the vet, she has a warm place to sleep. But I dont play with her or walk her as much as I should, and there have been times in her life (particularly when the girls were younger) that she has spent entirely too much time in her kennel cause I felt like I was drowning in responsibility for the humans in my care. She has had a good life, we have brought her with us through five states and umpteen moves, and two kids, but I can't help feeling like it could have been better.aliciajillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18198278046595875687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-167783085766202519.post-3009625139400571642012-06-27T20:15:30.088-05:002012-06-27T20:15:30.088-05:00I'm so sorry for this hard time. Sometimes I worry about what I'll do when my cat starts getting old .. but then I remember that we made a deal that she wouldn't do that. I'm sure she remembers and intends to follow through on it ...radioactiveganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15841051196996847922noreply@blogger.com
